We all love a bit of Sass and Bide. They are quirky, fun, and ever so British-ly cool. The Autumn/Winter 2011 collection is called 'Boogie and the Historymaker' and
'This season's girl is free spirited and strangely wonderful, she'll be wearing this collection everywhere. We were inspired by an energetic collision of colour, texture and crossing cultures.'
The tribal patterns popped with little splashes of vibrant colour. The feminine edges of the floaty materials contrasted to the heavily sculptured hats and shoes (shoes, by the way, I want in my life now). Designer at Sass&Bide, Sarah-Jane Clarke, described the seasons girl as "an elegant and ladylike urban warrior."
The coloring was stunning as rich magenta fused with corals and fuchsias on the tye-dyed patterned clothing.
Overall, whilst the collection wasn't so much autumnal, but had more of a summery feel, the clothing is entirely wearable and stunning, and I want the majority of it. The Aussie Designers did well.
I have to say, however, that I had one favorite piece overall from this show. Its this scalloped beauty of a mini-dress!
