We've all seen GaGa's crazy shoes and whilst some just think shes a nutjob, some notice the artistic brilliance in some of her clothing. French designer Benoit Meleard has created a collection that mimics this artistic brilliance using architecture and american designer Beth Levine for inspiration. Elastic bands and sky high platforms in peep toe styles make these shoes, and whilst not all are feasibly wearable, they are pretty hot.
In an interview with Dazed and Confused magazine, Meleard talks about his pioneering creation in the transparent heel himself and Alexander McQueen made around 12 years ago. Meleard tells journalist Kasia Bobula how he started with a passion to be innovative which has developed into creating wearable shoes with such detail that separates his collections from the rest. It is clear that Meleard has taken his passions and put everything into this innovative, detailed and inspired collection.
